PERIPHERAL QUANTITATIVE COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (pQCT) SERVICES

Mouse, rat, and rabbit isolated skeletal elements (e.g., femur, tibia, spine) can be scanned using pQCT and measured to separately evaluate cancellous and cortical volumetric bone mineral density (BMD), bone mineral content (BMC), second moment of area (SMA), and periosteal and endocortical perimeters (Ps.Pm, Ec.Pm) at any cross-sectional level.
